Calm

Everywhere you turn, these days, there is turmoil - challenges - sadness. You'd like to fix it all but can't. When it drags me down, this is where I come. Ever so grateful that I live where this is only a few minutes away. If I come in the early morning it is still peaceful and calm.

I just sit and watch as sunlight catches the tops of the ripples on the water and reflects on the sands beneath. An ever-changing pattern of light to keep me mesmerized and focused. After just a few minutes of rest for my brain, my body relaxes. I breathe easier. When it's warm out, like today, I can stand in the water and sink my feet in the cool sand.

Earthing.

Grounding.

Calming.

None of it solves any of the challenges, but the time allows me to look at them from a fresh perspective.

I played the water clip while Aaron was doing his math.

The sound of the water was so relaxing and I found I was able to clear my head of all thought. I was listening to the familiar little birds and the sound of the waves........I don't think I was much help with the math....
